Featured pet: Dolly
Poor old Dolly just isn't getting any interest from potential adopters but we are determined to move her into a loving retirement home before the long cold winter settles in. Dolly came into our care when her owner was no longer able to properly care for her. Being a senior, understandably, when she first arrived, Dolly was confused as to why she suddenly found herself living in such a strange and unfamiliar environment. Timid and a little insecure, she spent the first several weeks tucked away in her little cubby where clearly she felt safe but even then, she was always happy when a volunteer took the time to coax her out and give her the attention she so craved. It took some time, and while Dolly did finally adjust to life in the colony, at the age of 10, this gentle and uncomplicated senior should not be at a shelter. Dolly is calm and affectionate and has the sweetest disposition. She deserves to spend her golden years in a quiet and loving home where she can spend long lazy days curled up on someone's lap or comfortably nestled on the couch. We have no doubt that once she settles in she will be a wonderful companion.
If you can welcome Dolly into your home and into your heart, we'd love to hear from you. To inquire, please give our cat adoption coordinator Linda a call at 819.868.2684 or stop by the shelter for our cat adoption open house which takes place every Saturday from 10 a.m to noon at 2405 Griffin (in Ogden).
