Bishop’s University Arts Festival call for artists, volunteers, sponsors

The organizing team is actively planning the fourth edition of the Bishop’s University Arts Festival, set to take place on Bishop’s University campus from Jan. 14 to 18, 2020.

The organizing team is inviting individuals and organizations to participate as event leaders, volunteers, sponsors and partners in this diverse event focused on showcasing the artistic communities of the Eastern Townships.

Founded in 2017, Bishop’s University Arts Festival was created to respond to the need for greater visibility of the arts community at Bishop’s and within the Eastern Townships. It aims to create a window for people outside the creative arts to observe and participate in the artistic process, and to create opportunities for artists of all disciplines to showcase their work and talent.

With a potential reach upwards of 2,000 people, the festival is a valuable opportunity for artists to showcase their skills and knowledge by leading workshops, talks, and events, as well as for organizations to introduce their resources and involvement in the arts. The successful operation of the festival relies on a devoted team of volunteers during the festival week to make sure all events and activities run smoothly. No experience is necessary, just a positive attitude! Since the festival is a non-profit and volunteer-run event, we rely on the generous monetary and in-kind support of sponsors and partners. A number of support opportunities, designed to meet all budgets, are available, providing a costeffective means to promote your products and services to a large number of visitors. Financial support is recognized leading up to and during the festival.
