Mcgill Health and Social Services Bursary Program seeking applications
Health and social services students from the Estrie, Brome-missisquoi, or Haute-yamaska regions are encouraged to file applications for the Category 1 and Category 2 Mcgill Health and Social Services Community Leadership Bursary Program through Townshippers’ Association right now.
Created by the Mcgill University Training and Retention of Health Professionals Project, the bursary program is meant to address the need for health professionals with English and French language skills and awards bursaries to bilingual students from selected Quebec regions who are pursuing fulltime studies in the health and social services fields.
Bursaries in the following categories are available at this time:
Category 1 is for eligible students who are studying at a college/cegep or university located outside their home region. Up to $10,000 is awarded to students pursuing full-time studies at the university level and up to $5,000 is awarded to students pursuing full-time studies at the college/cegep level.
Category 2 is for eligible students who are studying at a college/cegep or university located within their home region. Up to $5,000 is awarded to students pursuing full-time studies at the university level and up to $2,500 is awarded to students pursuing full-time studies at the college/cegep level.
Recipients of the bursaries must commit to return to a selected Quebec region following the successful completion of their studies to work for a minimum of one year in a public health and social services institution or related organization.
