our hospitals, where the staff situation is still precarious. But I want to tell you that we haven’t forgotten you,” Legault commented.

In addition to shopping centres, several other sectors are currently the subject of work by the Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de la sécurité au travail (CNESST), in collaboration with public health authorities. Guides outlining the reopening procedures in each sector are being prepared and will be distributed in the coming days and weeks.

The Prime Minister gave as examples of sectors that will soon reopen: campsites, places of worship, restaurants, bars, gyms, professional sports and hotels. He also had a special message for the cultural sector.

“I have often said that, for me, culture is the soul of a people. I think we can open film sets and make recordings, following instructions. We can record shows. We already have a few examples on television. Quebecers need to see their artists. I have a meeting this afternoon with the Minister of Culture. A special budget will be set aside for culture. This is important for the morale of Quebecers,” Legault said.
