Hello! I am a one-year-old male, am a lovely guy with lots of energy (look at my age!) so I need lots of exercise and stimulation. Other dogs can be my friends, but no cats please! If you have experience with my kind of dog, then maybe I am the right one for you?

Yes, the SPCA Montérégie is SLOWLY opening up again for adoptions but the procedure has changed and there are many guidelines and necessary rules to follow. First of all, IT IS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE SHELTER - YOU WILL BE TURNED AWAY.

So here is how to proceed: If you are interested in me send an e-mail to www.adoptionspacemeonteregie.com and put in the subject: SMURF AC/AD. (The AC/AD is a vital code for sending your e-mail to the correct location.)

Include your name, address, telephone number(s), house or apartment, fenced in back yard, availability of walks, how many persons in the house, number of hours the dog will remain alone, had a dog(s) before, large or small, who are the other animals in the house…etc., and whatever else you wish to add.

Only selected applicants will be contacted by telephone and be given an appointment.

Yes, of course, there are lots of other dogs and cats here at the shelter but we assure you that we are all being treated well and these controls are absolutely necessary for everyone’s sake.
