Ayer’s Cliff Rodeo 2020 replaced by community events

- Record Staff

In a press release on Sept. 22, the Ayer’s Cliff Rodeo and Auberge Ayer’s Cliff announced that they will be joining together to create and host fall activities within the Coaticook, Ayer’s Cliff, and Compton region. These events will respect social distancing and mask requirements issued by public health and will consist of two car rallies and a ‘Poker Run Gourmand’.

The first car rally will take place on Sept. 26, and the second on Oct. 31. These events will involve a scavenger hunt made up of activities like puzzles and photos that can be electronically submitted. According to the release, all clues and activities are designed to be completed from the comfort of your own car. To participate on Sept. 26, the cost will be 40$ per team of 2 and an extra 20$ for anyone after that.

The Poker Run Gourmand will be held on Oct. 10 and will include a dozen local producers and businesses. There will be a circuit or map designed to direct individuals to the different businesses, where they will be required to collect playing cards. Some locations will include country dance workshops, musical artists, and bouncy castles to entertain.

In order to respect the limit of 250 people per location, there will be interspersed departures provided to groups for each event. To sign up and book your specific departure time, you must visit the Ayer’s Cliff Rodeo website (www.rodeoayerscliff.com).
