Colby-curtis Museum launches adopt an artefact program

-

The Colby-curtis Museum (SHS) recently launched the third edition of its Adopt an Artefact fundraising program.

Last year, $23,000 was raised through this special exhibition, which offers residents, schools, businesses and organizations in the Memphremagog MRC and beyond the opportunity to adopt an artefact from the museum collection for one year. By adopting an artefact, supporters will be contributing in a meaningful way to the preservation and promotion of the rich cultural heritage of the region.

New Artefacts, new theme!

The Colby-curtis team also announced that they have added twenty artefacts to last year’s edition, all related to one theme: A night at the Opera.

The public is invited to consult the catalogue of artefacts to adopt on the museum’s website or at the front desk in the museum. All adopters will receive a tax receipt, a certificate of adoption and other benefits.

Anyone interested in adopting an artefact is encouraged to contact Alison Hannan, Executive Assistant, by telephone at 819-876-7322 or by email at info@colbycurtis.ca.

The Adopt an Artefact program will last until August 31, 2021.
