Home daycare strike ends

On Sunday afternoon the FIPEQCSQ, the union representing 10,000 home daycare workers across the province, announced that an agreement in principle had been reached with the Families Ministry, resulting in the end of the unlimited general strike that began last Monday.

Details of the agreement will be made public on Monday evening, September 28, via the union’s Facebook page.

A vote on the agreement will take place by phone from Oct. 2 to 4, and the final result will be announced on Oct. 5.
