Hi! I am a ‘little’ guy and am 5 years old. A family member was allergic to me. I believe in being friendly and affectionate - it just comes naturally to me - but people, please remember don’t come on to us dogs too strong! Don’t force yourselves onto us dogs, big or small, too fast. Let us have the time to get used to your size, your movements, your odour, your voice…. Sit down. Relax. Cool it. Stay still… Let US decide when we are comfortable to approach you, check you out from closer quarters, smell you, ‘evaluate’ you, and then when we give the ‘ go ahead’ we will be friends for life! I also have a mild case of ‘SA - separation anxiety’ so yes, I can be left alone but please introduce SA dogs to your comings and goings very, very slowly and for short periods of time at the beginning. And be sure your departures and arrival are quiet and ‘non events’. No big fuss - just part of the daily life.

(Include that you saw me in the Brome County News.)
Because of Covid-19 the shelter is closed to the public. Therefore adoption are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please do not just turn up at the shelter. YOU WILL BE TURNED AWAY.
Many, many e-mails are received by the shelter and not all can be answered at this time. Qualifying applications will be studied, kept on file, some given an appointment and the others will be informed if the dog is adopted. Very complicated, very confusing but it is the best that can be done. Thank you for your patience!
