A Prayer for All

Lord, we thank you for this day, a day given to Your praise and the opportunity to do as You commanded.

Each day we have, we must consider a gift, for life is precious, and so fragile, our tomorrows may never come.

Not all of us are in good health and must rely upon our friends and neighbours. We give thanks to all their help.

Those among us, committed to the welfare of others, must be considered a blessing and worthy of recognition.

We pray for those also, elected to public office and responsible for our safety and well-being.

We pray that they will look to you, for guidance in their decision making. It must be good and fair to one and all within their influence.

The World today has lost its bearing.

The norms of yesteryear have fallen by the wayside.

The values of today, are more material in nature.

Some seek adoration and the wealth that goes with it.

Lost, is concern for those around them. They have made their way, forgetting that others were instrumental in their good fortune.

Lord, with Your help, we can minister to them, and remind them of their responsibilities to society at large.

We pray that they will understand, and correct their ways.

They need reminding of the gospel and how it is there for them too.

Lord, You made Heaven and Earth. You made man in Your image.

It is for us then, to be mindful of our ways.

Our allegiance to our religion, has been waning in past years.

Our children have drifted from the Word, and that is ours to correct.

Lord, guide us in Your ways so that all of Your congregation, will understand just what it is that they must do
