Midnight Madness revamped
With the pandemic preventing the event from being maintained in its usual format, this year’s Midnight Madness is transformed into an Advent calendar. Each day, from December 1 to 24, a Brome Lake merchant offers a promotion and two chances to win a prize!
To be one of the lucky winners, participants need to make a purchase at the merchant of the day or comment on the daily publication on the Town of Brome Lake Facebook page. The featured merchant will be announced each morning, while contest winners will be announced the following day in late afternoon.
“Midnight Madness is celebrating its 14th anniversary this year in a different way, said Lucy Hoblin, event organizer and owner of Brome Lake Books. Since the pandemic makes regular activities impossible, we invite you to join us throughout the month of December to celebrate with local businesses.”
“While buying local makes sense in today’s context, it’s a great way to showcase our businesses, give them a pat on the back and get citizens to encourage them in their holiday shopping,” said Cynthia Brunelle, Director of Recreation, Tourism, Culture and Community Life for the Town of Brome Lake.
The popular holiday market is a highly popular event that typically welcomes thousands of visitors between 5 p.m. and midnight in early December. Its evening decor and the enchanting setting of Brome Lake make it a distinctive event.

Furthermore, several other activities have been put in place for the holiday festivities. The famous magic lanterns, made by Isabelle Daval and Sylvain Bolduc, are back with their new creations in the shape of maisonettes along the Coldbrook path. Don’t miss it! Residences and businesses in Brome Lake will be decked out in over a thousand lights as part of a Christmas decorating contest.
