D’arts et de rêve receives financial support
Isabelle Charest, MNA for Bromemissisquoi, announced on behalf of the Minister of Culture and Communications, Nathalie Roy, financial assistance of more than $100,000 to D ‘Arts et de rêves in Sutton to enable the acquisition of specialized artistic equipment and to make improvements on the century-old barn housing the artists and their workshops.
Granted through the Programme Aide aux immobilisations of the Ministry of Culture and Communications, the funds will be used, among other things, for the acquisition and installation of equipment to facilitate the realization and dissemination of the artistic activities of the organization.
In addition, redevelopment work on the park adjacent to D’arts et de rêve will provide universal access to its entrances, a unique venue for the dissemination of works and artists’ achievements.
Access to the entire site will be facilitated by the addition of sanitary equipment to facilitate reception of people with reduced mobility.
The support will provide professional artists in the visual, literary and contemporary arts with a creative residency adapted to their needs as well as a venue for each of these art forms.
Founded in 2015, D’arts et de rêve is a non-profit organization with a mission to support creation in the field of contemporary, visual and literary arts. It offers professional artists in these fields a multidisciplinary creation residency. The organization promotes the dissemination of visual arts by offering free access to its park where many works of art are exhibited.
