At the CIUSSS de Magog, passed away on June 22, 2021 at the age of 83, Mr. Marcel Brassard. He was the son of the late Eugène Brassard of Chicoutimi, QC, and of the late Lucienne Comtois of Sherbrooke, QC. He lived in Cantonde-hatley where he had built a tourism project that he cherished.

Marcel is survived by his children: Sandra, Patrick and his partner Mélanie Lacasse, Geneviève Roy and her husband Jocelyn Dupré. His grandchild­ren Gabrielle and Simon Brassard, Jérémy, Audrey-ann and Angélie Dupré.

He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Denise and the late Normand Leblanc of Concord, New Hampshire, Madeleine and the late Bob Lessard of Delray Beach, Florida, the late Jean de Dover, Delaware, the late Monique and Fernand Boutin of Candiac, QC. The late Paul and Lyne Port of Danbury, Connecticu­t, late Pauline of Sherbrooke, QC.

He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, cousins, cousins, friends, exlacasse family, hockey teammates, all the little Roy brothers-in-law and sistersin-law of Beauce. His lifelong friends Bud and Lise Rousseau, Martin Lipp and Tess as well as “Gerry” Gérard Laliberté, his favorite defender.

The funeral will be celebrated on July 17, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. The family will be present from 2:00 p.m. to receive condolence­s at Sainte-élisabeth Church, 3115 Capelton Road in North-hatley, QC.

We would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts all the people who, from near or far, that assisted Marcel with their presence, their medical care, their humor, their work, their devotion. We are very grateful to you.
