Jocelyn Proulx has been appointed to the general manager position at the 2024 Jeux du Québec de Sherbrooke.

Proulx is recognized as major supporter and builder for amateur sports in Quebec. He was Skate Quebec’s board of directors president, and he chaired the organizing committee for the World Figure

Skating Championships between 2015 and 2021.

And for the past 25 years, Proulx has pursued a long, and successful career as an official, most notably during the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang. He also has more than 15 years of experience in radio and journalism.

According to a press release, he is often described as an excellent motivator with a knack for team spirit. Serge Auray, president of the Jeux du

Québec organizing committee, said he is looking forward to the opportunity to work alongside Proulx for the next three years.

“The 2024 Jeux du Québec de Sherbrooke family will be led by a high quality manager and a volunteer who has been active for 25 years in sports events. We welcome him,” said Auray.

Proulx is excited for the challenge, and he hopes his expertise in running sports events will create a positive atmosphere. He wants to make the Sherbrooke games a collective success, built from the ground up by a committed group of volunteers.

“I hope that all the participants will remember this participation for the rest of their lives. After a long and difficult period for young people, this will be a unique opportunity to promote sport and healthy lifestyle habits,” said Proulx.
