Yamaska Valley Optimist club fashion show

The grass is getting green, the spring flowers are about to bloom and the snow birds are returning and it is time to spring clean. You look into your cupboard and say what do I need. It is time to upgrade the wardrobe, but with what? The Yamaska Valley Optimist Club (YVOC) has the solution to help you update what is in your cupboard and be ready for spring and summer. To have a fun and social afternoon and become aware of the current fashion trends while enjoying an English tea come out to the YVOC’S fashion show on April 27. The fashion show will be held at the Brome Lake Community Center, 270 Victoria Knowlton, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The tea will be catered by LD Catering and will include typical tea fare, yummy sandwiches and delicious bite size treats, scrumptiou­s for sure. Besides tea, wine and beer is available for purchase.

The stores participat­ing are Mysterio from Bromont, Rococo, Windrush, Friperie Karma and Friperie Carolu from Knowlton, Massey-vanier Cinderella Prom-dresses from Cowansvill­e and from Sutton, Cycles Campus Sutton. There will also be creations from Melissa Pratte, a young and creative fashion designer from Knowlton.

Tickets are available for purchase through the participat­ing stores, through yamaskaopt­i@gmail.com or by calling 450-243-5605. Tickets for the fashion show and tea are $55. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards helping the youth of Brome Missisquoi, whether it be a scholarshi­p, a breakfast program, a flyaway basket or a camp to name a few of the activities.

So, for a fun and yummy afternoon come out and join us on April 27, and you may just win a door prize too.
