- SUBMITTED

November’s Third Star goes to a second year forward from the Notre Dame Hounds. Maeve McGauley was the offensive leader for a Notre Dame team that posted six wins during the month. McGauley registered 19 points over eight games.

In four of the eight games, McGauley recorded four points, which catapulted her to the top of the SFMAAAHL’s scoring race. The 15-year-old product of Wilcox has easily surpassed her 2012-13 totals and will be looked upon to lead the Hounds as they work to move into a position in the top four of the league’s standings.

Jasey Book, a fifteen year-old rookie goaltender from Loreburn, has been named November’s Second Star. The Swift Current Wildcat’s goaltender went undefeated in November winning all four of her starts including one shutout win.

Book stopped 104/110 shots faced this month helping the Wildcats to a 6- 2 record in November. Book added to her impressive statistics with two shootout wins. Over the course of the two shootouts Book stopped 16 of 17 shooters she faced. Despite her rookie status, Book has provided the Wildcats with a formidable presence in net.

The First Star of November goes to Jessica Vance, the veteran goaltender for the Prince Albert Bears. In addition to providing Team Saskatchewan with excellent goaltending at the National Championships in early November, Vance contributed to help a young Bears squad experience a successful month.

Vance posted wins in all four of her starts including two shutouts. Her strong play resulted in a .962 save percentage and a 1.22 GAA in November.

Vance is in her fourth season backstopping the Bears. She has been a calming and stabilizing force for the 2013-14 Bears while providing the leadership expected of one of the league’s most experienced players.
