City reminds businesses to renew licenses

The City of Swift Current is reminding business owners and operators that all business license renewals must be completed by March 31st to avoid penalty. A business operating after that date without a valid business license will receive a Bylaw Violation Notice.

The City licenses and regulates businesses operating within the community under the Licensing Bylaw NO. 2 - 1997. This bylaw ensures every business and/or business person that provides a good or service for personal gain obtains the necessary information and approvals prior to the commencement of business activities. It is important that each business and or business person complies with these regulations for the health, safety, and prosperity of our community.
