Kelsey Grose has not quite completed a full year at her new solo business venture, but the Owner/principal Designer of Farmer’s Daughter Interiors and Design already boasts a prestigious blogging award.

Earlier this month Grose attended the Design Bloggers Conference in Los Angeles where she was presented with the ‘Best New Design Blog’ for her blog which shares information about home design and decorating tips.

“Personally, it’s rewarding and very humbling watching your dreams take shape as you put yourself out there and just trying to really be helpful to people,” Grose said.

“It’s the first big thing for me so it’s rewarding to know that my hard work is paying off and that someone out there is watching and is finding it useful and helpful.”

She will be celebrating the one year anniversary of her design consulting business at the end of March, and she is hoping that her blog will continue to help and inspire others.

“When working with clients, my goal is always to create a space that reflects them personally. We’re taking their personal style and using it as the starting point to build off of, right from the beginning of a project. My design blog, on the other hand, has become a platform for me to share things that reflect my personal aesthetic and further develop the Farmer’s Daughter brand. It’s also a place to connect on a deeper level with readers and learn more about the type of information clients and consumers value when it comes to interior design services.” She admittedly was shocked to win the blog award because some of the other finalists in her category have massive social media followings.
