AAA 57’s continue Regina League schedules

Three Swift Current AAA 57’s baseball teams were in action over the weekend in their respective Regina Baseball Leagues.

The Bantam 57’s hosted the Regina Pacers on Saturday and won both games to improve to 12-2. They won both games by 9-5 final tallies.

The Peewee AAA 57’s played four home games and lost all four to two different opponents. They hosted the Melville Millionair­es on Saturday and lost 10-7 and 9-3.

The Peewee 57’s fell 13-2 and 13-5 on Sunday to the Regina Buffalos.

The Peewee 57’s will host an eightteam home tournament this weekend. They open the tournament against Muenster on Friday at 3 p.m. at Ford Field. They will also meet the Saskatoon A’s on Saturday at 9 a.m. and the Saskatoon Blue Jays on Saturday at 3 p.m. The gold medal game is slated for Sunday at 12 p.m.

The Mosquito 57’s played four Regina League games but lost all four. They hosted the White Butte Broncos on Saturday and lost 7-1 and 19-9.

The Mosquito 57’s were on the road on Sunday and lost 14-5 to the White Butte Broncos and 16-6 to the Lumsden Cubs.

The Mosquito 57’s will be back at home for four more league games this weekend. They host Estevan for a double header on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. They will also host the Regina Buffalos on Sunday beginning at 1 p.m. at Sharon Hogg Field.
