Langan fired 12 shots on goal and scored the final two goals, including the overtime winner on the power play.

Hofer took the loss despite making 35 saves to fall to 5-20-1-1. He made desperatio­n glove saves off of Daniil Stepanov and Keenan Taphorn to keep the Broncos even in the second and third periods.

The Broncos shot out of the gates with early goals from Ethan Regnier and Alec Zawatsky 3:59 apart. Regnier beat Evanoff with a perfect top corner shot and Zawatsky tapped home a rebound for his team-leading 12th goal of the season.

Daemon Hunt cut into the deficit late in the opening period and Justin Almeida tied the game 41 seconds into the second period.

Culling spun and fired from the slot as he scored for a fourth straight game for the Broncos midway through the period to give the Broncos another lead before Langan took over.

Sunday, the Broncos were fighting uphill from start to finish in a 9-3 loss to the visiting Saskatoon Blades.

The Blades got goals from nine different skaters to snap a three-game losing streak.

The Broncos trailed by period margins of 4-2 and 6-3, before allowing three unanswered goals in the final frame.

Rookie defenseman Billy Sowa scored his first WHL goal, Culling scored for a fifth straight contest, and Joona Kiviniemi notched a power play goal.

Broncos rookie Isaac Poulter took the loss with 38 saves on 47 shots to fall to 2–7-0-0. Nolan Maier made 12 saves to improve to 18-8-4-0 for the Blades.

The Broncos fell to 7–26-2-1, while Saskatoon improved to 22-11-5-0.

The Broncos have three games this week to open a six-game home stand. They open the weekend against the Portland Winterhawk­s on Friday.

They will also battle the rival Regina Pats on Saturday. The Broncos won the most recent meeting between the two rivals on Dec. 12, but are 1-3 against the Pats with two games remaining in the season series.

The Broncos will host the Red Deer Rebels on Wednesday. The Broncos have yet to win in three attempts against the Rebels this season.
