No longer do you have to mount a separate transducer on your trolling motor to get the benefits of Down Imaging (DI) technology as Minn Kota and Humminbird have partnered to offer the Built-in MEGA Down Imaging system for select models in the Minn Kota product line. Winner of the Best of Category – Boating Accessories at 2018 ICAST, the system is available for the new Ulterra, Terrova, Ultrex or Fortrex models and is housed in the lower unit to deliver ultra-clear imaging of what’s below the surface at the bow of your boat. Reliability is provided by a tough, exterior housing while all wiring runs through a composite shaft (the Ulterra, Terrova and Ultrex models only)* to further resist against wear and tear. According to Minn Kota, this is the first down imaging technology to enter the megahertz range and is nearly three times greater than traditional 455 khz frequencies, thus providing clear, sharp on-screen images. All trolling motors with the Built-in MEGA Down Imaging system are also part of the One-boat network complete with Bluetooth, allowing you to control the trolling motor from a Minn Kota app (and make software updates wirelessly), as well as the i-pilot Link to control your trolling motor from a Humminbird unit (except the Fortex).
