Rescheduled and Restricted, but Still Rad as Ever!

AFTER 25 SUCCESSFUL YEARS HOSTING THE NATION’S LARGEST WEEKEND-LONG, MINI-TRUCK INSPIRED SHOW AND SHINE STYLE EVENT, COVID-19 PUT THE BRAKES ON THE 26TH ANNUAL MINI TRUCKIN’ NATIONALS—BUT THAT DIDN’T LAST LONG THANKS TO A HARD-WORKING TEAM OF DEDICATED FRIENDS AND FAMILY. With approval from the city and support from the mini-truck community, Jason Bell was able to secure a later date in 2020 to host the show at the Maggie Valley Festival Grounds in North Carolina. With some standard restrictions and social distance markers in place, a safe and successful year was had by all, just like every other year in the past.

Maggie Valley is a town in Haywood County, North Carolina. It is home to Cataloochee Ski Area and the former Ghost Town in the Sky amusement park. U.S. Route 19 is the main road through Maggie Valley, and it leads east 35 miles to the heavily visited Asheville.

To understand the impact that the event has on this small-town community, we looked up a few interesting numbers. As of the 2010 census, Maggie Valley had a population of 1,150. The 2020 Mini Truckin’ Nationals had to set a cutoff at 700 trucks, which sold out within a few days of the presale launch. So, with all the show trucks that made the entry list along with all the fans who came to attend the event, Maggie Valley had more out-of-town custom trucks and visitors on the streets than it had in-town residence. Those are some pretty crazy stats— and what a great impact on the local economy!

If this year was too risky to travel, we totally understand. Luckily, thanks to a few fine sponsors like Belltech, Classic Parts of America and United Pacific Industries, we were able to bring this event directly to you LIVE on Facebook, Youtube and event our website. Next year should be safer and easier, so we think you should plan your weekend now. The 2021 Southeast

Mini Truckin’ Nationals will be held on

April 23-25, 2021 at the Maggie Valley

Festival Grounds in NC. This will be the

27th annual show and one you won’t want to miss. Come out and help us make this the biggest one ever! For more information, visit www.minitruckinnats.com.
