5. PLAY WITH LAYERS
Layered patterns look rich and decadent rather than cluttered when a mural wall covering and silk accent chair feature similar base tones. To create contrast, choose prints with varied pattern scales – in this case, the designer went larger on the wall and smaller on the chair upholstery.
