Anyway, this battery-powered, wireless thermostat with an LED display learns your energy-consumption habits to automatically adjust the temperature in the room it’s positioned in. The Momit also has a geo-location feature and a presence sensor. The latter means it knows when you’re out and will turn off the heating, and the former knows to switch the heating back on when you’re nearing home.

Will it work with my heating system?

Take the compatibility test on the website to find out! It’s compatible with 95 per cent of all heating systems, so you should be OK.

And how does the app work?

It enables you to set your monthly energy budget (using the My Budget feature) and to receive reminders if you’re leaving the heating on for longer than you can afford to. Data is stored in the app, where you can analyse your monthly energy use.
