How you can make your sports watch your own

All three watches are highly customisable. In both the Ambit3 and the V800, this is best done using the desktop software, as you’ve got a keyboard and a nice big screen to use. Annoyingly, one of the Fenix 3’s relative failings is that the excellent colour screen can only be customised on the watch itself. That makes it more fiddly and time-consuming, but it does mean you can tamper mid-workout or at the last minute before a race when you realise it’s set in kilometres not miles (the Ambit3 can also be customised on the go). Things you might want to customise include available sport modes, and what info is available to you within a mode (and in what order).
