Orbitsound Spaced360

Why I bought it

I’ve been a late arrival to the wireless Bluetooth speaker bandwagon. I never really appreciated the appeal until I attended a friend’s party recently and saw how convenient they are. Hers is a Bose SoundTouch 20, but that one was beyond my budget, so I looked for something cheaper. I already had an Orbitsound soundbar for my TV, which produces great audio, so the Spaced360 seemed a good choice.

What I like about it

It’s tiny, which means it’s super-portable; even taking it away on day trips is no problem. I was worried that the size of the thing might equate to tinny sound, but it provides nice bass and spacious acoustics, no matter where you are in the room. Battery life is decent, too.

What I don’t like about it

While it goes pretty loud, it can be frustrating when you want to crank it up to 11 and it can’t quite get there. Also, the plastic ‘ jacket’ I bought with it isn’t the easiest to get on and off.

Great bass from such a little unit! It looks stylish, too, though the jacket is a real pain to fit
