If you’re used to ordering at Costa rather than making your own coffee, the De’Longhi will feel like a dream come true. As well as letting you create your own drinks, it has presets that you select simply by tapping on the touchscree­n.

The milk module even has a variable frother setting, letting you choose how much volume your milk froth has. With the Gaggia, you need to dole out milk and coffee manually. The question is: do you know what goes into a latte?
