ASSAULT & BATTERY
We’ve all had the uncomfortable experience of spotting that potential shot of a lifetime, then having the blood drain from our face at the sight of a blinking low battery icon. Despite its semi professional construction, the Pentax is the most disappointing for battery life, with approx 480 shots per charge maximum falling short of what we’d expected for a DSLR. The Canon is a bit more like it at 600 pictures tops from its own cell, but the clear leader, surprisingly, given its lack of bulk, is the Nikon at 970 shots, which is what we’d expect from a semi pro camera circa £1,000.
