Create a multi-room system
If you’re just using one HEOS by Denon speaker, you’re missing out – here’s how to create an audio ecosystem

Each HEOS speaker must be set up individually. Place your first speaker in its room, power it on and get the HEOS app from your mobile device’s respective store. Now you’re ready to connect it to your Wi-Fi network. If you’re planning to use a wired network, plug in the Ethernet cable to add each speaker to your network.

Now that your speaker has successfully located your network, you’ll need to enter your Wi-Fi password so it can connect to it. Type it in and on the next screen give your speaker a name according to where it’s located in your home. This can be done manually or you can choose from the various preset names in the app.

Continuing with the wireless installation, first make sure your mobile device is connected to your Wi-Fi. Then, go into the HEOS app and tap the ‘Setup Now’ button on screen. In the first step you’ll need to connect one end of the audio cable that’s included into the speaker and the other end into your mobile device.

If you’re installing a HEOS 1 or 3, you’ll need to choose its orientation. If you’ve got more speakers to add to your system tap ‘Add Another’. Or tap ‘Finish’ and you can add another at a later date by going to the app – tap the cog icon in the top corner, select ‘Add Device’ and start the installation procedure once again.

Now, press the Connect button located on the rear side of the HEOS speaker, and when the light next to it starts flashing green you can tap the ‘Next’ button. You’ll need to verify that the speaker has found your network – if the light on the front is solid green, you’re good to go; tap the respective button on screen.
Set up an accou nt
When you’ve finished installing one or more HEOS speakers, you’ll need to create a free HEOS account before you can start listening to your favourite tracks. Once that’s done, you’ll need to sign in to each online music service that you use to listen to music, using the respective account login details.
