2 SPARE BATTERIES

Drone flight times are extending, but at around 20 minutes maximum they’re still relatively short. A good idea is to buy a couple of spares for whichever drone you go for; that way, you know you’ll never be without the ability to fly. £Varies

3 KIDULT DRONE LANDING PAD

These small collapsibl­e mats might seem like a luxury, but actually they’re an important part of any drone pilot’s kit. It gives you a stable launchpad and, if your skill set’s up to it, it’s also a landing point. 4 SANDISK ULTRA 64GB MICROSD CARD

The Holystone HS100 comes with a small memory card, but make sure you’ve got space for as much recording as you could need with this well-sized card. Bigger cards exist, of course, but in terms of securing your footage, it’s best not to put everything on one losable card. £8.49, sandisk.com

5 BOMCOMI BIG ARCH RACING AIR GATE
