5 ESSENTIAL WIRELESS SPEAKER ADD-ONS

The Naim Mu-so (or whichever speaker you go for) is made to be a one-box solution, but that doesn’t mean you can’t add even more to the experience

1 CAMBRIDGE AUDIO ALVA TT

If you’re going to kit up with a great wireless system, a great wireless turntable is a natural expansion. It can be connected over Bluetooth aptX HD, which is made for hi-res, full- quality audio. The Linn Series 3 supports aptX HD, while the Mu-So supports aptX, which is still a huge step up over regular Bluetooth. Pair it with your speaker, then you can place them in separate parts of the room. £1,499, cambridgeaudio.com

If you’ve got the big Mu-so and want to expand into multi-room with another wireless speaker, Naim’s smaller Mu-so Qb is great for offices, bedrooms and so on. It has all the same wireless connectivity as the big Mu-so, and sounds fantastic for the size. £749, naimaudio.com

3 AMAZON ECHO INPUT

Want to turn these speakers smart? The Echo Input plugs into the aux port and adds all of Alexa’s powers, funnelled through the Mu-so’s mighty drives. £34, amazon.co.uk

4 NAIM UNITI CORE

This box stores up to 100,000 hi-res audio files, ready for you to play them on your Mu-so via the app, all wirelessly. It also has a CD drive built-in, so you can rip your collection directly to it, making your library accessible at full quality really easily. Again, you can place this anywhere – it doesn’t have to be near the speaker. £1,899, naimaudio.com

5 NAIM MU-SO SPEAKER GRILLE

The black front grille of the Mu-so can be swapped out for some fetching alternative colours: Peacock and Terracotta. There’s supposed to be an Olive option, but it wasn’t available at the time of writing. £50, naimaudio.com
