So consider this: the Swordfish 40233 MultiPoint electric pencil sharpener. It retails for £87, but you’ll probably be able to find it for a much more reasonable £40.
Turn the wheel to select your *ahem* shaft diameter, jam in that pencil, and its helical blade will get even a brand new squared-off pencil pin-sharp in four seconds. It even stops automatically to ensure you don’t inadvertently grind those good colours (or watercolours, or pastels, or charcoals) down to a nub.
To the untrained ear, the effect is likely to be quite subtle. But if sound is a treasure for you, a good DAC polishes it up
