Pining for the food of her childhood, Joudie Kalla would phone her mother daily, begging for the recipes of the Palestinia­n dishes she had been fed as a child in the UK. is the result of those homesick feelings, a deeply personal culinary and cultural tour of her Middle Eastern roots.
