Runners of the Nish signing, reading Sept. 2

New author Alex Cyr will be having a book signing at Loney Lounge in the Oland Centre, Sept. 2.

Cyr’s book, Runners of the Nish; A Season in the Sun, Rain, hail and Hell, is about the 2016 X-men cross country running season, a team he was an integral part of.

He noted the event will start with an “easy 5 km run” leaving from the Loney Lounge at 10 a.m., which will be followed, as runners return, by refreshments to accompany the book signing and reading, in the lounge.

Cyr noted the event is open to the whole community and people don’t have to take part in the earlier run to attend the second part — the signing and reading.

Correction

In last week’s Casket, in a larger story about Cyr’s book, long-time St. F.X. coach Bernie Chisholm was referred to as ‘Bernie Gillis.’ The Casket apologizes for the error.
