ELWIN LAYES

Funeral service for the late Elwin Gerard, 71, Dartmouth, will be held August 30 in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Church, Stellarton, with Father Barrett Clarejohnson officiating.

Mr. Layes died August 14, 2018, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Duncan and Mary (Farrell) Layes.

He is survived by his estranged wife, Marie (Babin); two daughters, Angela (John) Fraser, Abercrombie; Caroline (Greg) Page, Moncton; grandson, Sean; two brothers, Thomas ‘Tommy’ (Sandy), Carstairs, Alberta; Duncan (Bev), Ontario; two sisters-in-law, Lynn Layes, Halifax; Helen Layes, Antigonish; many nieces and nephews.
