Age 39 of Halifax, formerly of Gormanvill­e. It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our precious son Matthew on November 25, 2020. Born October 17, 1981 in Halifax, he was the son of Ken and Lilla (Beach) Davis. Besides his parents he is survived by sister, Jodi (Neale) of Beaver Bank; several aunts, uncles and cousins whose hearts are also broken. He was predecease­d by maternal grandparen­ts, Harry and Leona Beach; paternal grandparen­ts, Martell and Maxine Davis; aunt, Beatrice Beach; uncle, Kirby White; and cousin, Brandon White. Matthew always had a smile for everyone and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a big fan of the Montreal Canadiens, wrestling, and loved video gaming. Matthew was the No. 1 fan of the Tragically Hip. Matthew worked at Paladin Security in Halifax as Branch Manager for Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island and enjoyed his job very much - developing positive relationsh­ips with all co-workers and employees. A graveside service for family and friends will be held November 30th at 2 p.m. in North Noel Road Cemetery, beside St. Paul’s United Church, Rev. Mike Poworznyk officiatin­g. Due to COVID-19 regulation­s, social distancing will apply outside of your bubble, please bring a chair if you wish to sit.
