Age 44, of Dartmouth, passed away on November 27, 2020 in Halifax. Born in Halifax, he was a son of Patricia (Langille) Hart and David (Valerie) Whalen. Mikey was an entreprene­ur who was never afraid to try a new adventure. He was loved by everyone and he loved to help everyone. He was larger than life and had the type of personalit­y that within five minutes of meeting you, he would treat you like family. His three favourite things were his bike, football, (aka Tom Brady), and most importantl­y his wife, children, family and friends. He was known for saying "I just want to be a small part of something bigger." Mikey is survived by his wife, Amy Marriott; daughters, Madisyn Leah Whalen, Abigail Mikel Whalen and son, Benjamin Michael Whalen, all of Hammonds Plains. He is also survived by sister, Michelle (Stacey) Barnes; brother, Gary (Paula) Whalen; and many nieces and nephews. He was predecease­d by his grandparen­ts, Annie (Carpenter) and Donald Langille; brother, Trent Hart; niece, Carys Whalen and his cousin, David White who was like a brother to him. Due to COVID-19 restrictio­ns, there will be no public visitation and a private service for immediate family only will be held today, Wednesday, December 2nd at 2 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth; Rev.
