Age 92, of Moncton, N.B., passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 3, 2020 after a brief illness. Born in Berwick, to Frank and Gladys (Gould) Alcorn, her family later moved to Halifax and it was there that she met and married Bob. They soon moved to Moncton, N.B., where they started their new life and family. Lillian was active in the community throughout her life. She will be remembered by the many friends she made through Wesley Memorial United Church and the UCW, Moncton Chapter of Engineer’s Wives (founding member), YWCA board and their wonderful Quilt Fairs as well as the neighbourh­ood and engineers’ wives bridge clubs. She was still playing bridge regularly until COVID-19 put a halt to such activities. She curled in her younger years and latter spent many enjoyable winter hours watching it on TV. She was an avid reader and was blessed with an incredible memory. She loved living close to her two grandsons and spending summers in Pointe du Chene. Lillian is survived by sons, David (Winnie), Port Williams; Peter (Annemieke), Dartmouth; and daughter, Elizabeth, Moncton; grandsons, Alexander (Natalie), Halifax; Lucas (Samira), Calgary; great-grandchild­ren, Edwin and Victoria; step grandchild­ren, David O’connell (Tanya), Halifax; Roselene Royea ( Kirk), Sheet Harbour; step great-grandchild­ren, Jacob, Kathleen and Logan; sister- in- law, Faye Alcorn; and many nieces and nephews in Canada and the United States. Lillian was predecease­d by her son, Stephen; husband, Robert "Bob"; both parents; and her only sibling, Robert "Bob". Thank you to the staff at The Moncton Hospital who provided her with such compassion­ate care. Cremation has taken place and due to Covid restrictio­ns there will be no service or visitation. A family burial will take place in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date. Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd., Moncton (506-858-1995) in care of arrangemen­ts.
