-

Passed away early Tuesday December 8, 2020, in his family home in Deep Brook. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Harvey Anderson; daughters, Shelley Anderson Gidney, Sherri Anderson Rhodes; grandchildren, Marley, Racheal and Dylan. His sons-in-law Bruce and Rob were also very much a part of his life. He was big brother to Robert, Bette, Barry, Bonnie and Barb who will all miss him dearly. Loved by brothers and sisters in law and many nieces and nephews. Fondly known as Andy, Bill or Uncle Billy, he was muchloved by all those who made his acquaintance. William had a passion for travel and loved to explore the world by planes, trains, automobiles, buses and ferries, and in later years by armchair! He loved country music - especially the classics. His talents on guitar, harmonica, accordion, organ and piano were always an enjoyable part of gettogethers with family and friends. William always had an eye for a bargain and enjoyed wheeling and dealing, and he always looked forward to Saturday flea markets. He was an avid stamp collector and would spend hours sorting and organizing stamps to send to clients around the world. He enjoyed a wide variety of occupations throughout his lifetime. Redcap on the trains between mcadam and montreal, able seaman in the RCN, cook at HMCS Cornwallis, salesman, chef and even camp cook and first aid officer with a diamond mining company in Northern Canada, are among the jobs he had. The community has fond memories of his role as Walmart greeter in the later years of his life. He brightened the lives of countless people with his everlasting smile and spontaneous humour and was the light and life of every party. His outrageous jokes and contagious laugh will be missed. A muchloved husband, father, uncle and friend, William touched the hearts of many and will be remembered fondly by all. Share a memory or leave a condolence at: www.jaynesfuneralhome.com

Darlin’ Andy, "You were always there when I needed you, no task too great or small, with loving heart and willing hands for me you did them all. For all the things life has given me and all that’s left to do, I’ve never known a greater gift than the years I shared with you." - Love Joyce.
