Age 83, Truro, passed away on December 14, 2020 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Our beloved Myrna, "Moo Moo", was a daughter of the late Alexander M. and Marie S. (Macneil) Davis. Her smile would light up any room she entered and her light and love touched so many. Surviving to mourn her passing, is her beloved husband, Basil "Bud" Macdonald, Truro; son, Brian (Darlene George) Alward, New Glasgow; daughter, Diana Alward, Enfield; grandchild­ren, Crystal Robbins (Raymond), Cole Harbour; Brandon "Bub" ( Robin Shaw) Alward, New Glasgow; great grandchild­ren, Brooklyn, Cooper, Connor, Bronwyn and Addison; stepdaught­er, Shelly Macdonald, Dartmouth; siblings, Carol Ezekiel (Patrick), Dr. Stephen Davis, all of Halifax; Janet Eisses (Henry), Truro; best friend, Viola Lynds, Truro; plus numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family also wishes to give thanks to Annette and Terry Lynn for their care of Myrna during her time of need over these many months. Besides her parents she was predecease­d by sister, Arlene Merchant. Before retirement, Myrna worked at Stuart Pontiac Buick for 23 years as their bookkeeper. She enjoyed reading, dancing and was a member of Parents Without Partners for a time and the Royal Canadian Legion. She made many friends and went on great adventures and fun outings as a Red Hatter with the other gals of the organizati­on, sharing laughter with all she met. She worshipped at John Calvin Christian Reformed Church. Arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to Mattatall - Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young St., Truro, where Myrna’s family will receive friends from 2- 4 p.m. Saturday, December 19th. (Please use the front doors of the funeral home, wear face masks and practice physical distancing.) Interment will be held at a later date in Robie Street Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Myrna’s memory to Colchester SPCA at 408 Industrial Ave., Truro, are welcomed.
