CARROLL, Edward Leo "Teddy"

Of Southwest Margaree. It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Edward "Teddy" Leo Carroll on December 15, 2020. He was born on August 17, 1952 in Southwest Margaree and was a proud Cape Bretoner. He was predecease­d by his wife of 40 years, Bernice (Aucoin) Carroll; his parents, Edward Leo and Catherine ( Stewart) Carroll; brothers, Andre, Daniel, Leo, John; and his sister, Elizabeth "Betty". He is survived by his daughter, Melissa (David); and his son, Edward (Courtney); his brothers, Peter (Mary), Thompson, Man.; Billy, Southwest Margaree; Alex (Yvette) Brookside; Andy, New Westminste­r, B.C.; sisters, Helen (the late Simeon Dumas) Lower Sackville; Anne, Chateaugua­y, Que.; Mary (Frank Adamo), Toronto, Ont.; Angie, Margaree Forks; Delores ( John D. Macisaac), Windsor, Ont.; Sally (Andy Macdonald) Broad Cove; Margie (Archie Macneil), Mabou; Ruth, Falls Lake, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Settling in Pictou County, where he raised his family, he worked steadily as a welder for most of his career, while having experience in surveying and driving trucks all over the Maritimes. His real passions were rebuilding any motor or project he was working on and getting out on any motorcycle he could drive. He always had a story to tell and loved telling them, happy to "shoot the breeze" with anyone and had a laugh that would always give him away! He retired back to Southwestm­argaree, a goal of his for many years and loved being home. He cared deeply for his entire family and always focused on maintainin­g those bonds, values that he instilled in his children, who now have their love and support. Cremation has taken place. A service will be set at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Halifax. Funeral arrangemen­ts are under the care of Sunset Funeral Co-operative.
