Age 92, of Halifax and Blandford, passed away in Abbie J. Lanememori­al Building, QEII, on December 19, 2020. Born and raised in Halifax she had a long and varied career. After graduating from Dalhousie University she taught at Netherwood, Rothesay and St. Clement’s School, Toronto and then served in the Royal Canadian Navy before embarking on her long career in medical technology. She retired as Chief Technologi­st, Hematology and Blood Bank at the Victoria General Hospital in 1989. After her retirement she did a food distributi­on tour in Sierra Leone during the Liberian Civil War. Upon her return she graduated from the Atlantic School of Theology ( MTS), Halifax and Episcopal Divinity School (D Min), Cambridge, Mass. In earlier days she enjoyed skiing, sailing, and spending time in Blandford with long-time friends Marje Brady and Marilyn Schnare. Pauline was inducted as Deacon Emerita by First Baptist Church in recognitio­n of her years of service. She was predecease­d by her parents, Stephen and Robena (Wall) Allsop; cousin, Alan More and Marje Brady. She is survived by Marilyn Schnare and the family of Alan More. A sincere thank you to the staff of The Berkley, Gladstone for their care and considerat­ion. Cremation has taken place.
