Born in Saint John, N.B., on October 10, 1933. She grew up in Saint John and Windsor, Ont., graduating from St. Mary’s Academy and Assumption College. In her life, Mary Ann worked as a lab tech, retailer, and a school secretary at Berwick and District School. She was a talented quilter and cook and enjoyed travelling with Cleo. Mary Ann is survived by the love of her life, Cleophas "Cleo" Francois D’eon, and his beautiful Acadian family, children, Christophe­r (Erin), Mardi (Colin), Gregory (Kim), Julianne, Philip (Christine), John (Beverley); sibling- cousins, Paul and Kathy, and the King family. Nana loved her grandchild­ren, Gregory ( Tessa), Isaac, Erich, Emily, Joseph (Kirsty), Thomas, Seth, Aaron ( Renee), Haley, Luke, Caroline, Carmen, Bridgett, Marlo; and her new great-grandbaby, Linus Cleophas. Mary Ann had good times with lifelong friends, Lisa, Joanne and Janet, and many Nova Scotia friends including, in recent years, the Thursday afternoon group. Cleo and family are grateful to Dr. Judith Puetz, VON, Senior Homecare by Angels and Larry’s Pharmacy. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictio­ns, a celebratio­n of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Berwick and District School music or school food programs.
