BAKER (Dean), Mabel Eugina

Age 95, born February 11, 1925 in Lemon Hill. With grieving hearts we sadly announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Mabel Eugina Baker (Dean) on December 29, 2020. She was a daughter of the late Eugene and Sarah Dean. Mabel is survived by her brother, Neil, Barneys River; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predecease­d by her husband, Murray; beloved daughter, Beverly Clarke (David) and son, Lyle. Also brothers and sisters, Oakey, Jessie, Kay, Barney, Bud, Josephine, Florence and Shirley. She will be greatly missed by her children, Vonna Rowlings (David), Ostrea Lake; Edith Eisenor ( Steve), Truro; Wanda Dowe (Fancis), Belmont; David Hummer (Leona), Ostrea Lake; Maryann Rogers (Greg), Mississaug­a’ and Robert Baker, Sackville. She was deeply loved by all her grandchild­ren, great- grandchild­ren and great great-grandchild­ren. She was a loving and nurturing mother with a big heart and kind soul. She had fostered many children over the years for the Children’s Aid Society. She had worked as a cook at the Twin Oaks Hospital for many years and she was especially known for her homemade bread and biscuits. She was also a successful Tupperware dealer in the surroundin­g area. She loved to cook, travel, play bingo, knit socks and mittens, dance and sing. She was incredibly independen­t, strong, funny, loving and hardworkin­g! You will be greatly missed and leave us with memories that will be cherished forever. Sing with the angels Mommy! Many thanks to all the staff for the love and care she had received at The Birches. Donations can be made to The Birches Nursing Home in her memory. Funeral service by invitation only.
