Of South West Margaree. It is with sadness we announce the passing of our beloved "Nannie Teresa" on January 4, 2021 in Inverary Manor, Inverness. She was born in Inverness, September 1, 1929 to parents James and Penelope ( Maclellan) Doyle. She was very proud of her Spider Town Roots. She leaves behind her children and stepchildr­en, Cindy, Truro; John Hughie, South West Margaree; Rick and Tess, Toronto; Angus and Jessie, Halifax; Eleanor and David, Truro; Jean and Sam, New Waterford; Allen, Halifax; Johnena, Annapolis Valley; and her sister, Anne Mullock. Nannie Teresa will be missed by her grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren with whom she had a very loving relationsh­ip. She helped shape how they see the world with humor and love. She also leaves to mourn, her family friend, Marie Macneil who was a great support over the years. She was predecease­d by the love of her life, her husband, John Mackenzie; children and stepchildr­en, Flora, Glen, Cathy, Margaret and John; also several brothers and sisters. Funeral Service will be Friday, January 8th at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, South West Margaree with Father Peter Leblanc officiatin­g. COVID-19 restrictio­ns will be in place. Burial to follow in Macdougall Cemetery, South West Margaree. A Celebratio­n of Life will take place when COVID-19 restrictio­ns are lifted. Donations in memory can be made to Macdougall Cemetery Fund or a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangemen­ts are under the direction of Sunset Funeral Co- operative.
