SMITH, Lisa Joanne

Age 60 of Vancouver, passed away unexpectedly December 20, 2020, in Vancouver. Lisa was born in Halifax on November 24, 1960. She was raised in Tatamagouche where she attended elementary and high school. During her teenage years, Lisa taught swimming lessons, was a member of the Tatamagouche Figure Skating Club and used her excellent singing voice to add to choirs and musicals. She later went on to attend Nova Scotia Teacher’s College in Truro. Lisa had a strong love of animals and this led to her self-employment as a dog walker and pet sitter in Vancouver. Lisa was predeceased by her mother, Pauline Smith (March 2020). She is survived by her father, Jules "Tip" Smith, Tatamagouche; brothers, Brad and wife Keltie, of Tatamagouche, and their sons Matthew and Daniel; Corey and wife Gayle, and their children Ellen and Emmet, of Waverly. Cremation has taken place. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in Lisa’s name can be made to Willow Lodge Home for Special Care or the SPCA.
