Age 75 of Terence Bay. It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Wayne Frederick Manuel. He passed away at home on Monday, January 11, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was a loving father, grandfathe­r and brother who cared deeply for his family. He was a 50 plus year member of the I. B. E.W. 625. Wayne will be remembered as a hardworkin­g, honest and generous man. He was an active volunteer always ready to lend a hand to benefit his community. He was also well-known for his love of sports and will be remembered by many as a respected minor league softball and hockey coach and mentor. Before his passing he had the pleasure of witnessing the dedication of the Terence Bay Ball field as the Wayne Manuel Ball Diamond, a place where he spent many hours devoting his time to the youth in the community. He lived life to the fullest, loved to travel and never passed up an opportunit­y to visit an amusement park or a mini putt. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra; sons, Mark (Denise) and Jason (Sarah); daughter, Krista (Bruce); special grandchild­ren, Ryan, Brett and Cory; brother, Leo; sisters, Marie, Gloria and Bev. He was predecease­d by his parents, Leo and Rita Manuel; sister, Nancy Golden. Arrangemen­ts and cremation have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialist­s, 71 Mcquade Lake Cres., Halifax. In keeping with Wayne’s wishes a private family service is being held.
