Age 91, of Windsor, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on June 16, 1929, in New Ross, Lunenburg Co., she was a daughter of the late William and Janet (Hatt) Levy. Jean was the last surviving member of her family. Jean was a member of Windsor Baptist Church. Jean is survived by daughters, Pauline (Merrill) O’neil, Windsor; Betty (Terry) Sjuberg in Alberta; Debbie (John) Poole, Mount Uniacke; sons, Brian Moore, Windsor; Willard Moore, Windsor; Gary (Shelley) Moore, Mount Uniacke; Ricky (Carolanne) Moore, Windsor; stepson, Gary Bezanson in Ontario; special niece, Rhoda Veinot; 30 grandchild­ren; numerous great-grandchild­ren, and several great great-grandchild­ren. Besides her parents, she was predecease­d by her husband, Kenneth Elias Bezanson; daughter-in-law, Paulette Moore; granddaugh­ters, Ashley Moore and Charlene Lantz; sisters, Effie Keddy and Dorothy Bates; brothers, Elwood, Lawson, Harold, Ernest, Robie, Atwood, and Gordon Levy. The family wishes to express a special thank you to all the staff at Haliburton Place and to Dr. Cathryn Smith for all the care they provided to Jean over the last year. Funeral arrangemen­ts are under the care of Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home, P.O. Box 2218, 194 King St., Windsor, NS B0N 2T0. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 27th, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Rob Heffernan and Rev. Dr. John Bartol officiatin­g. Interment in Maplewood Cemetery, 1186 King St., Windsor. Donations in memory of Jean may be made to Diabetes Canada, Canadian Cancer Society or Windsor Baptist Church.
