FOUGERE, Agnes Gertrude

Age 98, of Havre Boucher, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2021 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital. Born and raised in Havre Boucher, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Anne (Levangie) Brow. Agnes was a devout Catholic, wife of a veteran, and member of St. Paul’s Parish in Havre Boucher. She could always be found saying her daily prayers while looking out the window at the harbour. Agnes worked at the Cove Motel in Auld’s Cove for 14 years where she made many friends and memories. Agnes will be forever remembered as a shining light to those that had the honour to know her. She loved to laugh, cook, and make precious memories with the many people she loved. She was the matriarch of a close family that adored her. She is survived by her family; daughter, Karen Mackinnon; son, Junior Fougere; daughter-in-law, Jackie Fougere; daughter, Daphne Caissie (Roy Leblanc); son, Hartley Fougere; 11 grandchild­ren; 22 great-grandchild­ren; and sisterin-law, Mabel Fougere. She was predecease­d by her loving husband, Seward Fougere; brothers, Phonso and Tony; grandson, Bradley Fougere; half-siblings, Jane, Margaret, James "Jimmy", Sarah "Sadie", and Clara Fougere. We will miss you greatly. Until we meet again. Rest peacefully. Love you. Due to COVID-19 restrictio­ns, there will be no visitation and the funeral will be by invitation only. Funeral will be held in St. Paul’s Parish Church in Havre Boucher with Father Allan Macphee and Deacon Berkley Guthro presiding. Burial will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to St. Paul’s Parish in Havre Boucher. Arrangemen­ts are under the care and direction of Green’s Funeral Home, 507 Bernard St., Port Hawkesbury.
