CAMPBELL, Terry Lee

-

Of Halifax, born June 3, 1958, passed on January 16, 2021. It is with a very heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a very kind and gentle husband, father, brother and friend. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by those whose lives he touched. He was one of nine children born to John Archibald and Olive Ethel Campbell (now deceased). Terry is survived by Christine (Coade), his wife of 32 years and his children, Mitchell ( Jessica) and Taylor. He is also survived by his siblings, Harry (Nancy) Campbell of Halifax; Judy (Roy) Gannon of Halifax; Kenny (Marilyn) Campbell of Ottawa, Ont.; Janet (Graham) Macdonald of Rothesay, N.B.; Hope (Stephen) Hebb of Labrador City, N.L.; Mike (Debbie) Campbell of Belmont; and Cathy ( John) MacLean of Ottawa, Ont. He was predeceased by brother, David. Terry was also deeply loved by his mother and father- in-law, Paul and Patricia Coade; sistersin-law, Angela (Brian) Chutskoff of Vancouver, B.C.; Melissa (Peter) Drillio of Halifax; Patricia (Greg) Swinimer of Halifax; and brother-in-law, Vincent Coade of Boston Bar, B.C. Terry was predeceased by sisters-in-law, Bonita Coade (of Halifax) and Jessie Young (of Moncton, N.B.). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews. Terry worked at CIBC for 25 years in various positions. After his retirement, he tapped his entrepreneurial spirit and started his own painting company. He had great appreciation for and an encyclopedic knowledge of sports. He was the go-to person for any answer to any question. He was a brilliant man and made a friend in everyone he met. Terry was involved in coaching minor hockey before he had his own children. He then coached his son’s competitive teams with TASA minor hockey and managed Nova Scotia spring hockey teams for many years. He also coached his daughter’s youth soccer teams early in her career. Terry’s final act was to give the gift of life through organ, eye and tissue donation. In this spirit, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Canadian Red Cross or a charity of your choice. The family is planning a Celebration of Life at a later date so that his whole family and everyone who loved him is able to attend.
